
James brings more than 30 years of distinguished aviation and national service experience to the general aviation industry. A Chicago native, his career reflects a consistent record of leadership, technical expertise, and dedicated service.
Mr. McCoy is a graduate of DeLaSalle Institute High School in Chicago, where he excelled both academically and athletically, lettering in three sports. He earned a combined academic and athletic scholarship to Northeast Missouri State University (now Truman State University), where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology/Engineering and lettered in football for four years.
Following graduation, Mr. McCoy served 12 years on active duty in the United States Marine Corps, earning the distinguished designation of United States Naval Aviator. After completing his military service, he continued serving the nation for an additional 18 years as a Federal Civil Servant with Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), a Department of Defense organization. During his tenure, he served as an Operations Research and Systems Engineer, holding multiple technical leadership roles and receiving numerous awards and recognitions for his contributions.
